Cops Posed As TV News Crew To End Upstate Hostage Situation
A hostage situation at a New York gas station finally ended after police posed as a TV news crew and pretended to interview the suspect, News10 ABC in Albany reports. Troy Police were called to the Stewart’s Shops convenience store on Vandenburgh Avenue at around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, June 2, with reports of a hostage situation, police said. Man Charged In Fatal Stabbing Of Popular Chef In Upstate NY
Police have arrested a man accused of fatally stabbing an up-and-coming chef in the Capital District. Marquis Jackson, age 34, of Albany, was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, Albany Police said. Investigators believe Jackson stabbed 31-year-old Tyrome Wallace multiple times during an altercation inside a home on Washington Avenue Monday night, May 16. Ex-TV Reporter Says Cuomo Administration's Harassment, Attacks One Of Reasons She Quit Job
A former investigative journalist has become the latest woman to attack New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, alleging that his harassment and attitude were among the reasons she quit her job.
