'Reassigned' Westchester Football Coach Under Police Investigation
Some light may have been shed on the “reassignment” of New Rochelle High School varsity football coach Lou DiRenzo earlier this month. Much to the chagrin of the community, New Rochelle school officials removed DiRienzo from the district and team on Wednesday, Nov. 13, even as they made their run to the state championship this week. A former teacher already accused of having sexual contact with a student in Westchester during school hours has turned himself in to police in White Plains to face new charges that he raped a minor. A temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of a student who allegedly had sexual contact with a teacher in Westchester during school hours. John Fraioli, 34, of White Plains, a teacher at New Rochelle High School, was arrested this week and charged with a felony count of third-degree criminal sexual act after allegedly having inappropriate contact with a 15-year-old student earlier this year. Swastikas Found Inside Textbook At Middle School In Westchester
Police in New Rochelle were called to a middle school in Westchester this week to investigate the latest incident involving swastikas. Officers from the New Rochelle Police Department responded to the school on Tuesday, April 9, when there was a report of swastikas drawn inside the back of a textbook.
