Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspected wanted on a criminal contempt charge that he failed to answer in court, leading to a warrant for his arrest. A Westchester County teenager is going to spend nearly two decades in prison after pleading guilty for his role in a fatal stabbing at a Yonkers movie theater last year. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Wednesday that Yonkers resident Michael Pettiford, 17, has been sentenced to 18 years in state prison for the fatal stabbing of Daji Thomas at the Ridge Hill Movie Theater. A Westchester County teenager has pleaded guilty for his role in a fatal stabbing at a Yonkers movie theater last year. Yonkers resident Michael Pettiford, 16, has pleaded guilty to felony counts of manslaughter and robbery after being indicted on murder charges last June, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Friday.
