A Honda Civic with four people inside was hit by a train in the Hudson Valley, causing delays of more than an hour on Metro-North service in the area. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, at the Hudson Avenue crossing in Peekskill, said Lt. Jack Galusha with the Peekskill Police.  The vehicle which was on the track was struck by the passing Amtrak train. No one was injured in the vehicle or on the train, Galusha said. Man Struck By Metro-North Train In White Plains A man on the tracks was struck by a Metro-North train on Saturday. The incident occurred in the vicinity of the White Plains station just before 7:30 a.m. Jan. 19, according to Metro-North. There were hour-long delays of about 15 minutes after the incident in which the man was hospitalized. The extent of the man's injuries has not yet been released.
