Nor'easter: Flash Flooding Leads To Major Road Closures In Westchester
As a powerful Nor'easter blast through the region, two major roadways in the region are closed due to flooding and heavy ponding. The Westchester County Police said the Saw Mill River Parkway is closed northbound at the Taconic Parkway Ramp due to flooding at the Marble Avenue in Pleasantville on Tuesday morning, Oct. 28. Also closed due to flooding, the Taconic Parkway south between Stevens Avenue and Commerce Street backed up to Sprain Brook Parkway, said the New York State Police. Gas Main Replacement, Repaving Affects Traffic In Pleasantville, Thornwood
Marble Avenue in Pleasantville and Thornwood is one of the worst pothole-filled routes in Westchester. So it's good news for area residents and motorists who frequent businesses, including McDonalds and local shopping centers, that a major utility project will result in a county-paid repaving of the avenue. Established Restaurateurs Eager To Debut New Westchester Eateries
Two new restaurants are set to open in Pleasantville in March. The owners of Wood & Fire plan to open Southern Table at 39 Marble Ave. in March. The new grill will offer traditional favorites from the South.
