A former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been arrested for allegedly groping a 55-year-old woman without consent, according to multiple reports. Thomas Frieden, 57, who served as head of the CDC from 2009 through 2017, and formerly acted as the New York City Health Commissioner, turned himself in to police in Brooklyn on Friday for allegedly grabbing a woman’s backside in October last year. Police: Man Pushes Shopping Cart Into Woman's Leg In Westchester Dispute
Police have charged a man who allegedly shouted profanities at a woman at a local supermarket and struck her with a shopping cart. Investigators from the Yorktown Police Department received a walk-in report from a woman on July 6 who stated that a dispute at DeCicco Family Market in Jefferson Valley turned physical, prompting an investigation. Police said that the investigation found that Shrub Oak resident Joseph Mazzei, 69, allegedly yelled profanities at the woman before allegedly pushing a shopping cart into her leg. Cortlandt Man Admits To Harassing Lakeland Schools Superintendent
A Northern Westchester man has admitted to sending more than two dozen harassing voicemails to Lakeland Schools Superintendent George Stone for several months, leading to an order of protection. Police said it is alleged that between Jan. 17 and June 17 this year, Cortlandt Manor resident Anthony Cassone, 55, “left approximately 25 voicemails on the victim’s voicemail system that served no legitimate purpose and caused the victim annoyance and alarm.” At the victim’s request, a criminal summons was obtained from the Yorktown Justice Court on June 28 for a charge of second-degree harassment…

Two members of the Yonkers Fire Department were charged in separate assaults that injured several people, according to police. One of the firefighters lives in Westchester County, one in Orange County. Off-Duty Police Officer Admits To Putting Woman In Chokehold In Westchester
A 28-year-old police officer was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge after pleading guilty to harassment for putting a woman in a chokehold while off duty last year in Northern Westchester. Hudson Valley Man Arrested Twice In One Day
Monroe Police arrested a man twice in one day after he assaulted his wife during a domestic dispute and then violated a protective order. Odi Gil-Aguilar, 30, of Monroe, was arrested on Thursday, May 10, after officers responded to a home for a report of domestic violence taking place, police said. When officers arrived they found Gil Aguilar assaulting his wife and arrested him. A highly publicized nearly six-year-old defamation lawsuit was settled this week in favor of Douglas and Molly Kennedy of Chappaqua. The Kennedys countersued Northern Westchester Hospital, two of its nurses and the husband of one of the nurses. The couple's lawsuit followed Kennedy's acquittal of child endangerment and harassment charges stemming from a Jan. 7, 2012 altercation at the hospital in Mount Kisco. The hospital did not comment. A 31-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening to set fire to a local business in front of the owner’s wife and child, police said.
