Eastchester's Centenarian Ed Ranieri: A Shining Example Of The Greatest Generation
Hildebrand (“Ed”) Ranieri, a longtime resident of Eastchester, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 28. He was 100 years young, celebrating his century milestone this past September.
He is survived by his children, Bill (and wife Tina), Joan (and significant other Mark) and Jamie (and wife Yvonne) and grandchildren Robert and Rachel. Police Officer In Westchester Dies Suddenly At Age 25
A police officer who grew up and worked in Northern Westchester has died suddenly.
Nicholas D. Hansen 25, of Pleasantville, died on Thursday, Oct. 1 at his residence. He was an officer with the Town of Bedford Police Department.
He was born on June 15, 1995, to Dean and Vikki (nee Palmieri) Hansen in White Plains.
He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, Class of 2013, and went on to receive his Associate's Degree.
He was an avid cook and a motorcycle enthusiast, according to his obituary.

Frances Ranieri, 96, Longtime Eastchester Resident, Loved Sinatra, The Yankees
Frances (Fran) Ann Ranieri, a longtime resident of Eastchester, died on Monday, April 6. She was 96.
She is survived by her husband Hildebrand (Ed) and children, Bill (and wife Tina), Joan (and significant other Mark) and Jamie (and wife Yvonne) and grandchildren Robert and Rachel. Additionally, she is survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and respective spouses in addition to many friends from around town. She was predeceased by her siblings Joseph, Anthony, Eugene, Vito, Lorraine and Alice.

Domenica Scotto Dittmeier, 94, Formerly of Valhalla, Remembered For Her Strong Spirit
Former Westchester resident Domenica Scotto Dittmeier died peacefully at the age of 94 on March 18 at Spring Hills Senior Residence in Alexandria, VA. She was born on March 15, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York and was the last surviving child of Domenico and Adele Scotto. She graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science and then obtained a Master of Arts at Manhattanville College and called Valhalla home for over 50 years.
She joins her pre-deceased family members, her loving husband George (1924-2014), her daughter Lydia (1955-2013) and her siblings, Marcela, Vally and Michael.…

A lifelong Westchester resident who worked in Fairfield County has died at age 22.
Andrew J. Groenewegen of Valhalla died unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 21. He was born on Nov. 1, 1996 to Charles and Suzanne (nee Parton) Groenewegen in Bronxville.
He graduated Valhalla High School, Class of 2014 and worked for Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich.

Joseph Ciruzzi Of Yonkers Dies Unexpectedly At 33
Joseph R. Ciruzzi, a resident of Yonkers and formerly of the Morris Park section of the Bronx, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 13. He was 33.
He was born in the Bronx to Brian and Lucy on June 12, 1985.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his sister, Kristen (Christopher) Tutelian. He was uncle and godfather to his niece, Aubrey Tutelian.
The family will be present on Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc., 732 Yonkers Ave. in Yonkers.
