Gun, Loaded Magazine Found Buried At Westchester County School: Police
Police found a handgun and a loaded magazine buried nearby an elementary school in Westchester County. On Tuesday, Nov. 1 around 12:40 p.m., police responded to Daniel Webster Elementary School in New Rochelle at 95 Glenmore Dr. after school staff reported a partially buried firearm in a dirt area by a tree that could be seen through the schoolyard fence, according to New Rochelle Police. 19: Westchester School To Stay Remote All Week, 48 Quarantined
Four dozen students and staffers in a Westchester school will enter a two-week quarantine after potentially being exposed to COVID-19 last week. Interim New Rochelle Schools Superintendent Alex Marrero alerted the community on Saturday, Oct. 31 that a staff member at Albert Leonard Middle School tested positive for the virus after last being in the building on Tuesday, Oct. 27. 19: New Staff Member At Westchester School Tests Positive, Five Classes Exposed
A Westchester middle school was forced to transition to remove learning after as many as five classes may have been exposed to the virus last week. Interim New Rochelle Schools Superintendent Alex Marrero announced that a staff member at Albert Leonard Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19 and was last in the building on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Parents Pack New Rochelle School Board Meeting Amid Controversy Over Reassigned Coach
Parents and area residents packed the house at the latest New Rochelle School Board meeting to show their support for suspended head football coach Lou DiRienzo.
