A Westchester art teacher has been awarded a prestigious medal for his heroic actions in saving a woman from a violent attack on a New York City subway. Cop Honored For Saving 5-Year-Old From Attack By Rabid Coyote In Westchester
A police officer from the area received a prestigious honor after coming to the rescue of a 5-year-old girl being attacked by a rabid coyote. The Pittsburgh-based Carnegie Hero Fund Commission announced that Irvington police officer Arcangelo Liberatore was one of 19 people being celebrated with the Carnegie Medals of Heroism.
