A massive voluntary recall has been issued for frozen waffles sold by over 14 different grocery store chains nationwide due to the potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, TreeHouse Foods, Inc. announced on Friday, Oct. 18. CDC Warns Potentially Contaminated Raw Oysters May Be Linked To Norovirus Outbreak
Health officials are investigating a multistate outbreak of norovirus illnesses that have been linked to raw oysters. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that it is investigating the outbreak linked to oysters from British Columbia, Canada, with other agencies including the United States Food and Drug Administration, the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and state and local partners. New E. Coli Outbreak From Bison Sickens Nine In New York, One In Connecticut
The Centers for Disease Control, U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Canadian Food Inspection Agency are investigating a multi-state outbreak of E. coli that has been linked to ground bison products. On Tuesday, July 16, Northfork Bison Distributons, Inc. announced that it is recalling bison produced between Feb. 22 and April 30 this year. The recalled products were sold to distributors as ground bison and bison patties, which were referred to as bison burgers or buffalo burgers.
