White Plains Native Ann Marie Beach Dies At 57 Ann Marie Beach, of Dutchess County, originally of Westchester, died Sunday, Aug. 11, at age 57. Beach who lived in Stormville was born in White Plains on Feb. 10, 1962. She met "the love of her life" William "Bill" Beach while attending high school and shortly after graduating, they married on June 28, 1980, said the obituary. They were married for 39 years and had two daughters, Tina Marie and Rose Mary.  Ann Marie Beach will be remembered most of all for the love and devotion she felt for her family and friends which included dogs, Cooper and Zoe, according to the obituary. …

A Hudson Valley woman has been identified as one of the four Americans killed in a suicide bombing in Syria on Wednesday, Jan. 16. Navy Chief Cryptologic Technician Shannon M. Kent, 35, who grew up in Pine Plains in Dutchess County, was a sailor assigned to Cryptologic Warfare Activity 66, based at Fort George G.
