Latimer Announces Refurbishment Of Revolutionary War Headquarters Joined by state legislators, local lawmakers and Miller House advocates, Westchester County Executive George Latimer announced on Thursday, April 26 county plans to refurbish and upgrade the historic Elijah Miller House site in North White Plains.  The house was used during the Revolutionary War by General George Washington as a headquarters command post during the Battle of White Plains.  Before falling into disrepair, the site was used as a public museum.
