Person Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In Northern Westchester
One person was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Northern Westchester. It happened around 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 in Yorktown on Route 118 in the area of the North County Trail. An initial investigation revealed that a bicycle being ridden by a 66-year-old Mamaroneck resident was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 71-year-old Rhinebeck resident, said Lt. A 40-year-old man was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Northern Westchester. Demetrios Doupis, of Yorktown, was found on Route 6 in Yorktown around 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 after police received a call regarding a person lying in the roadway, said Lt. John Delulio. Fatal Crash Causes Hours-Long Closure On Taconic Parkway
This story has been updated. A stretch of the Taconic State Parkway was closed throughout the morning commute following a fatal crash. The closure was southbound in Hopewell Junction between Route 29/Carpenter Road and Route 52. The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, but the lanes remained closed until around 10:30 a.m. during the accident investigation. A man who was seen stumbling and falling in a parking area was run over by a vehicle that was leaving the area and didn't see the victim on the ground. Man Found Dead Pinned Under Dodge Ram On Route 22
An investigation is underway after a 58-year-old Fairfield County man was found dead underneath a pickup truck in Dutchess County. New York State Police troopers responded to a 911 dispatch of a man pinned under a vehicle on Route 22 in the town of Pawling on Friday, June 1 just before 8 a.m. James C. Roberts of Danbury was trapped under a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck. Pawling Fire Department removed the vehicle, but Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene by EMStar Paramedics. Westchester Woman Found Dead Under Vehicle In New Canaan
The identity has been released of a Westchester woman whose body was found under a vehicle at around noontime Tuesday in New Canaan, police said. The New Canaan Police, New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corp and New Canaan Fire Department were dispatched to a residence on South Bald Hill Road on a report of an individual that had been discovered pinned underneath a vehicle and not responsive.
