The 26-year-old Yonkers native, currently signed to a 10-day contract, had been leading the D-League in scoring when the Nets came knocking, according to SBnation.com's Nets Daily.
Since joining the NBA team, the 6-foot, 4-inch shooting guard is averaging 9.4 points per game coming off the bench, shooting 41 percent from the field and 50 percent from behind the arc.
The Nets have until Saturday, March 19 to decide if they'd like to keep Kilpatrick through the remainder of the season, according to Nets Daily.
Kilpatrick attended White Plains High School, where he averaged more than 28 points per game, seven rebounds and six assists. He finished his high school career as the second-leading scorer in the school's history and later became a First Team AP All-American while playing at the University of Cincinnati.
