Scarsdale Residents Can Challenge Property Assessment Updates

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Scarsdale residents who recently received their 2016 property assessments update, and don't agree with the amount, or have issues with their assessment have until June 21 to submit a complaint with the city.

Residents can contest their new property assessment at Village Hall or during a meeting of the Board of Assessment Review.

The forms, available here, will be reviewed during a meeting of the Board of Assessment Review on Tuesday, June 21. All complaints will be heard during the meeting, even if the time surpasses the normal ending time of 8 p.m.

In addition, residents may also contact the Assessor’s Office directly to resolve an error in the data recorded on your 2016 Residential Valuation Detail Sheet by either calling 914.722.1133, submitting an email to assessor@scarsdale.com, or by visiting Village Hall at 1001 Post Road.

Please note, inquiries are being handled on a first-come, first-served basis and, based on the volume currently experienced, it may take a period of time before the assessor or her staff are able to assist you with your inquiry.
