SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The recent property tax revaluation has many Scarsdale homeowners challenging the new assessments -- and in some cases, winning relief, according to a report in LoHud.com.
The revaluation in 2014 was the first since the late 1960s in Scarsdale, home to numerous mansions and large parcels of land, LoHud.com reported.
Scarsdale property owners filed 950 grievances over their new assessments, and 69 percent of those were awarded reductions in valuation, according to LoHud.com.
However, those savings get tacked onto the tax bills of the rest of the residents, LoHud.com reported.
