Last week, an East Parkway business owner reported to police that she and her employees have been receiving threats at their restaurant for the past year, with the calls ramping up in the past few months, as the caller began making contact more frequently than usual.

According to police, the caller has been mentioning specific names of employees, with the suspect saying “be careful or I will kill you.” The woman told police that some of the calls have been hateful towards women, and at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, a call was received by an employee, with the caller saying “(the owner) was going to be killed.”

Police said the caller ID showed an unknown caller sometimes and two other numbers on different occasions. The restaurant owner is currently attempting to have Verizon block the calls, and told police she filed a report with law enforcement in Tuckahoe for similar incidents at another business location in the village.
