According to police, shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night, a woman in the Greenacres neighborhood walked home from the Hartsdale train station, when she was confronted by an unidentified man in the driveway of her home.
The suspect grabbed the woman by the arm, and when she shouted for help, the man fled the property. Police said that the victim was not injured and no property was taken from her in the incident.
The victim told police that during the scuffle, the suspect may have displayed a gun. Following the report of the incident, Scarsdale police investigators conducted an extensive search of the area, with an assist from the Westchester County Police, who provided canine and aviation units.
Police said that as of 10 p.m. on Thursday, a suspect had not been located. Police have beefed up patrols and security in the area as the investigation continues.
A physical description of the suspect has not yet been released.
