Shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a person walked onto the tracks at the Metro-North station by a non-service train, prompting slight delays that lasted several hours before the morning commute.
According to reports, the man may have been resting on the platform for some time before he calmly walked down to the tracks where he was struck on the southbound tracks.
The victim - who has not been identified as Metro-North waits to get in contact before releasing his name - was transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for treatment. His condition is not immediately available, though he reportedly was alive when he arrived at the hospital.
The investigation into the strike is ongoing. Keep following Daily Voice for more information as it becomes available.
