Jeffrey Green, 48, of Brooklyn, who was a correction officer at the facility, was arrested on Wednesday after an investigation conducted jointly by state police jointly with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations. It revealed that in March of 2016, Green had an sexual encounter with a female inmate confined to the prison, according to state police.
Green was charged with official misconduct and sexual abuse in the second degree.
Green was arraigned in the Town of Bedford Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 13 at the Town of Bedford Justice Court.
