Driver Plows Into Westchester Storefront, Narrowly Misses Packed Bagel Shop

ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- A car plowed into an empty dry cleaner’s at an Ardsley strip mall Sunday morning, narrowing missing a bagel shop packed with people having breakfast next door, according to multiple reports.

Clothes and debris lie scattered at the Ardsley Dry Cleaners Sunday after a woman drove her Cadillac through its front window. The store was closed at the time, but the bagel shop next door was packed with people having breakfast.

The dry cleaner’s front desk was destroyed and clothes and debris were scattered everywhere, lohud.com reported.

The female driver, who suffered minor injuries, told police she had dropped off someone and had put her Cadillac into reverse, and then into drive, when the crash occurred, the lohud.com report said.

Police told News 12 that no charges were pending.
