No one won the Saturday game (with the winning numbers -- 5 7 23 35 39 and Powerball 11) but 104,970 New Yorkers did win smaller prizes, said New York Lottery officials.
The last winner on May 7, who won $429.6 million, lives in New Jersey.
To win, players have to match the five balls and the one red Powerball. The drawing takes place at exactly 10:59 p.m.
If a lucky player does hit all the numbers, they could opt for the $422 million paid out over 29 years, or a $291 million lump sum payment. The prize would rank as the nation's 8th largest in lottery history, lottery officials said.
The chance of winning Powerball is minuscule, at 292.2 million-to-1. But don't despair, it's only 11.6 million to 1 to win the second prize of $1 million.
