The company first issued a recall on May 31, following reports of illnesses from E. coli possibly involving certain of its flour products. General Mills then expanded the recall on July 11, as reported by Daily Voice, to include two types of cake mixes which used that flour.

If you have any of these products, throw them away. To request a replacement or if you have additional questions, call General Mills at 800-230-8103. If possible, save the product name, bar code and better-if-used-by date.
General Mills stresses that consumers shouldn't taste or eat raw dough or batter made with flour. "Illnesses have not come from properly baked or cooked flour," it notes.
