Fire Suspends Metro-North Service On All Lines

Train service of Metro-North's Hudson River, Harlem and New Haven Lines has been suspended because of a fire for the remainder of Tuesday night, Metro-North announced just before 11 p.m.

Metro-North advises customers to check for updates and listen for announcements at local stations for the Wednesday morning commute.

Service into and out of Grand Central is suspended as a result of smoke conditions caused by a string of propane tank explosions under the tracks at East 119th Street and Park Avenue, the MTA said.

The blaze broke out about 6:30 p.m.
