East Parkway Southbound In Scarsdale Closing For Station Stair Replacement

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – In conjunction with the East Parkway Train Station stair replacement project, East Parkway southbound from the intersection of Christie Place to Popham Road will be closed to traffic from 9 p.m., Wednesday until 2 a.m., Thursday, according to a Village of Scarsdale press release.

This East Parkway road closure is necessary to complete the set up and installation of the steel stairway system. The stairway, which was fabricated off-site, will be installed by a crane operating from the East Parkway sidewalk and roadway.

Southbound East Parkway motorists seeking access to Popham Road will be detoured east on Christie Place and south on Chase Road to Popham Road. Westbound Spencer Place vehicular traffic will be detoured north on East Parkway east on Christie Place and south on Chase Road to Popham Road.

Motorists are requested to follow the posted detour signs. The East Parkway Road closure is subject to change based on weather conditions and other project related factors.
