County Postpones Bronx River Parkway Closures In Scarsdale

SCARSDALE, N.Y. - The Bronx River Parkway closures scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights have been postponed and will take place at a later date yet to be announced.

The overnight closures included the southbound Exit 12 for Crane Road and southbound entrance ramp from Fenimore Road to the southbound parkway. They are necessary to install 12 precast box beams over the Metro-North Railroad's Harlem line.

The work is part of the Crane Road Bridge Replacement project on the BPR. The work, and closures, are weather permitting.

When the closures are rescheduled, the following local streets will also be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Crane Road westbound from Chase Road to East parkway will be closed
East Parkway southbound from Crane Road to Christie Place will be closed
Southbound parkway will have intermittent stoppages for approximately five to 10 minutes while heavy equipment is moved
