Scarsdale High Music Students Chosen For Lincoln Center Competition

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Four Scarsdale high school students will perform at the Lincoln Center Music Society's annual competition for high school chamber ensembles on Thursday, April 14, in Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

This year, more than 60 ensembles entered the competition. Ten were selected, including a piano quartet from Scarsdale High School.

The Scarsdale ensemble members are Laura Clapp, violin; Rachel Haber; viola; Melinda Orengo, cello; and Annling Wang, piano.

They will perform Gustav Mahler’s piano quartet, and pianist Lucille Chung is coaching them.
