SCARSDALE, N.Y. The Scarsdale Art Association will offer a demonstration on the concept of keeping an artist's travel journal. The workshop will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Leahey Gallery of the Betty Taubert Girl Scout House, 34 Wayside Lane in Scarsdale.
"The travel journal provides another opportunity for artists to enjoy their talent even when traveling," wrote SAA President Gina Thorne in a press release. "It's a way to bring home memories beyond what your camera alone can give you. The sketches often become the basis for future work to be done later in the studio."
Barbara Shay MacDonald and Phil Wallace will join Thorne for the presentation. Refreshments will be served.
