The gala will begin at 7 p.m. at Old Oaks Country Club in Purchase. It will include entertainment by mentalist Marc Salem, cocktails, buffet dinner and a silent auction.
Kasner, of Scarsale, will be honored for her outstanding service on the JCC Board of Directors. Paulin will receive the JCC’s Community Service Award in recognition of her long distinguished record of activism in public policy and community issues.
Kasner served as president of the JCC and is currently on the board, focusing her energies on development and fundraising. A former corporate and real estate litigator, Kasner has spent more than 25 years as an active volunteer to many agencies, including UJA-Federation of New York and the Washington Institute, and is on the board of the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services.
While serving as president of the JCC Board, she developed and expanded the Board of Directors and repositioned the agency toward a stronger and more meaningful presence in the community. Most recently, she assisted in raising funds to jump-start the JCC’s Revitalization Campaign.
“This agency has found renewed energy and realized impressive gains, thanks to the work of this Board, and specifically, with the tireless hours Karen Spar Kasner has spent on JCC initiatives and revitalization,” said current JCC Board President Ophira Cukierman.
Tickets for the event start at $250 per person, and journal ads are available for purchase by contacting the JCC’s Development Department at 914-472-3300 or online at www.jccmw.org. The Gala is open to the whole community. For more information, visit the JCC of Mid-Westchester website.
