Presented by obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Beth Simon, the seminar will provide education on how to correctly perform a breast self-exam at home.
Attendees will learn what a breast self-exam is, why it is important, how to do a breast exam and next steps to take if a lump is detected, including information about referrals to a breast surgeon.
“Regular breast examination is crucial,” said Simon. “By performing a breast self-exam monthly, you get to know how your breasts normally look and feel so you can detect any changes more easily.”
