Dubbed an activist-friendly film that strives to offer an evenhanded view, the film investigates not just the controversy surrounding Indian Point, but also takes on the issue of nuclear dangers in general and how the world gets its power, said the Hollywood Reporter.
Because of the plant's location -- 35 miles north of New York City -- Meeropol draws attention to the question of whether Entergy, the company that operates Indian Point, will receive a renewed 20-year license from nuclear regulators, added the Hollywood Reporter.
Currently, the plant's Unit 2 has been operating without a permit for three year and Unit 3's expired in December, the Reporter said.
