Scarsdale's Hoff-Barthelson Music School Presents Violinist Eriko Sato

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Hoff-Barthelson Music School in Scarsdale presents violinist Eriko Sato at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13.

Sato and fellow HBMS faculty members will perform duos, quartets and a quintet at Greenville Community Church at 270 Ardsley Road. The other musicians are: Lani King Chang, violin, Chi-Chi Lin Bestmann and Naomi Graf, violas, and Michael Finckel, cello.

The program includes Bohuslav Martinů’s Duo for Violin and Cello, No. 1, Gyӧrgy Kurtág’s String Quartet, Opus 28 and Mozart’s String Quintet in C minor, KV 406.

Sato is a leading violinist on the New York City chamber music scene and a co-concertmaster of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestra of St. Luke's. She made her solo debut at age 13 and has performed as soloist with orchestras in Louisville, San Francisco and Tokyo.

Admission to the recital is $18, $15 for seniors (65 and older) and free to all HBMS students and to students 18 and younger. Tickets to a series of three or ten recitals are available at a reduced rate. Tickets can be ordered any time by calling 914-723-1169 or through email, and are available for purchase at the door.
