His program, ”The Secret Sauce to Start-Up Nation,” is presented as a collaboration among Israel Bonds, the Westchester Reform Temple and Young Israel of Scarsdale.
Groner, who is based out of Washington, D.C., has been at his position since August 2011. He came to the diplomatic role through he private sector, where he worked in private equity and management consulting.
He previously served as a special adviser to the chairman of Tnuva, Israel’s largest consumer packaged goods company. Groner started his career as a journalist at the Jerusalem Post, where he was a finance and economics correspondent.
Jacob and Deborah Rubenstein were the rabbi and rebbetzin at Young Israel before they died in a house fire five years ago. The annual lecture serves as a commemoration of two Jewish leaders in the community.
The free lecture will be held at 8 p.m. May 9 at the Westchester Reform Temple.
