At 7:30 p.m. on April 18, Hoffman will lead a free discussion entitled, “From Back of the Bus to the Top of the Agenda.” The event is co-sponsored by WRT’s Women of Reform Judaism and Israel Engagement Team.

Hoffman is the executive director of the Israel Religious Action Center (IRAC), promoting Jewish pluralism and combating racism, corruption and religious coercion. She has expanded IRAC’s mission to go beyond the Israeli courts and the Knesset, helping people directly through social action.

The activist also serves as the chair of Women of the Wall. The organization was founded with worldwide followers and seeks to achieve social and legal recognition of a woman’s right to wear prayer shawls, pray and read from the Torah out loud at the Western Wall.
