SCARSDALE, N.Y. --  World-Renowned flutist Carol Wincenc will perform with flute students, faculty and alumni at Hoff-Barthelson Music School’s Annual Spring benefit on Sunday, April 23, in the recital hall of the CV Rich Mansion in White Plains.

Wincenc will be accompanied by the talented young pianist Bryan Wagorn. Wincenc and Wagorn will perform works by Copland, Mozart, Debussy, and Fauré. Hoff-Barthelson flute students, faculty and alumni will join the pair for the final number—a lively baroque concerto for five flutes that will showcase Hoff-Barthelson’s musical community at its finest, according to a release from Hoff-Barthelson.

The concert will begin with an intimate pre-concert reception for ticket holders at the Sponsor and Benefactor levels.

Tickets for the concert and dessert reception are available at $1,000 (sponsor), $500 (benefactor), $200 (patron), $100 (contributor), and $50 for students.

Tickets can be purchased online here or by contacting Alex Villari, development director, at, or (914) 723-1169.

The spring benefit is Hoff-Barthelson's largest fundraising event of the year. Funds raised will ensure that Scarsdale-based Hoff-Barthelson can continue to provide the very best music education to its students and guarantee that its programs remain accessible through financial aid and outreach, the release said.

Wincenc is one of today's international luminaries of the flute, appearing as a soloist with major orchestras around the world. Her choice of repertory is broad, encompassing standards by Bach, Mozart and Nielsen, as well as contemporary works, written for her by many of today's most prominent composers, the release said.

Equally in demand abroad,Wincenc has given acclaimed performances in England, France, Germany and Poland as well as many other counties. She has performed with the London Symphony, the English and Stuttgart chamber orchestras, and at the international music festivals in Aldeburgh, Budapest, Tivoli and Frankfurt.

She has made numerous recordings for many labels, including Telarc, Naxos, DG, Decca, Albany Records, Musical Heritage Society, and CRI.

Wincenc was nominated for a Grammy award for her collaborative performance of "Passover Offering" on a Naxos recording of compositions by Yehudi Wyner. In May 2014, she was awarded a lifetime achievement medal from the National Society of Arts and Letters.

Wagorn serves as assistant conductor at the Metropolitan Opera, and regularly performs throughout North America, Europe and Asia as pianist, chamber musician, and recital accompanist.

He appears frequently with members of The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and regularly accompanies the world's leading instrumentalists and singers in recital.

Wagorn made his solo recital debut at New York's Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2009, and has performed under the auspices of the Marilyn Horne Foundation, and the Jeunesses Musicales de Canada.

The concert will begin at 6 pm. Doors will open at 5:30 pm.

The CV Rich Mansion is at 305 Ridgeway, White Plains.
