45th Annual Scarsdale 15K/4 Mile Run Set For April

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The 45th annual Scarsdale Parks and Recreation Department's 15K/4-mile runs in April. 

The event kicks off at 9 a.m. April 6 at Scarsdale High School. The day's events will include a one-mile Kids Fun Run. The Scarsdale Antiques Running Club will be co-sponsoring the Abe Simon Memorial Team race.

The races will begin on Brewster Road and will continue through Fox Meadow and Greenacres neighborhoods. Police will restrict traffic in the area, although local access will not be denied. A letter will be sent to all residents within the race route to bring their attention to the event. The Police Department will block access to the school at the Wayside Lane entrance at 6 a.m. on the day of the race. Race participants will be able to enter the school from Olmstead and Brewster Roads.

The 15K and four-mile entry fee is $16 by March 9 and the Kids Fun Run entry fee is $15 by March 9. Residents can pre-register and receive a free race T-shirt. For more information or to register online, residents are asked to visit the Scarsdale Recreation website or call 914-722-1160.
