This month, Miller is relocating to Napa Valley to work in wine country, and will host her farewell Go-Getter event on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
Go-Getter Girls & Grapes is a women's professional networking and wine tasting series, where women share advice, brainstorm collaborations and find support from other professional women.
Miller created Go-Getter Girls & Grapes in 2012. The concept came organically while working on the sale floors.
“Every day at Vintology, I have conversations with ambitious, hard-working women who are engaged in such different and interesting industries,” Miller said. “I thought, I should be introducing these women to each other in one fun evening. If I shared stories and wines by fearless female winemakers, that’s an event I’d want to attend!”
Over many years, the events have resulted in real professional collaborations, cross-promotion and increased business for the attendees.
Miller, who said she will be sad to conclude Go-Getter Girls & Grapes in New York, envisions bringing Go-Getter Girls & Grapes to the Bay Area once she is settled.
Each Go-Getter Girls & Grapes features a wine tasting to showcase global bottles made by female winemakers. The upcoming Jan. 18 event will feature a Cabernet Sauvignon from Miller’s new home, Napa Valley. It is a Burgess Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon by winemaker Kelly Woods.
The final event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m at Vintology Wine & Spirits in Scarsdale. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online here.
