Here Are Projected Snowfall Totals For Storm That Will Sweep Through Area

Between 3 to 6 inches of snowfall is expected south of I-84. (See first image above). In Orange and Dutchess counties, 6 to 8 inches is possible. (See first and second images above.)

Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Watches are in effect for the entire region. (See third image above.)

The storm will arrive Tuesday morning, Feb. 12 with flurries before snow becomes steadier sometime between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. The heaviest snow will fall through around noontime Tuesday.

Snow will change to freezing rain at times after noontime before changing back to snow and then to sleet and rain as the high temperature climbs just above the freezing mark excepts areas farthest north. Rain and sleet will end overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, Feb. 13, which will become partly sunny and warmer with a high in the low to mid 40s.

Valentine's Day on Thursday, Feb. 14 will be mostly sunny with a high in the low 40s.
