Three, Including Two Students, Injured In Westchester School Bus Crash
Three people, including two students, were injured in a school bus crash in Valhalla Friday morning.
The incident took place around 7:24 a.m. Friday on Grasslands Road in Mount Pleasant after the bus, heading west up a hill near the Westchester Community College, skidded on ice, said Mount Pleasant Police Capt. Michael Pierce.
After skidding, the bus struck a utility pole, and then skidded back down Grasslands Road before it ran into an embankment which stopped the bus, he said.

Longtime Chef Daniel Tvert Of Westchester Dies At 36
Longtime chef Daniel R. Tvert of Yonkers died on Thursday, May 31. He was 36.
The son of Stanley and Sharon Tvert, Daniel graduated from Saunders High School and Westchester Community College.
An avid lover of food, he worked as a chef in many restaurants in New York and New Jersey.
Daniel is survived by his brothers Steven and wife Ana (Rocha), his twin brother Scott & wife Jennifer (Cacciatore), niece Ava, nephews Nicholas, Christopher and Matthew, his uncle Ron and aunt Meg, his cousins Lori, Blake and Cole. Daniel’s parents predeceased him.

Hudson Valley Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Tree In Mississippi
A 31-year-old Hudson Valley man was killed in a car crash while helping friends move down south.Scott Fish of Carmel was pronounced dead at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi after his car slammed into a tree on Interstate 59 at around 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 30.
He is survived by his father, Scott M. Fish Sr., his mother, Joan L. Fish, sister Rebecca DeLuca, and brother-in-law Alfonso DeLuca.
