Body Of 32-Year-Old Bear Mountain Bridge Jumper Recovered A 32-year-old man has died after jumping off the Bear Mountain Bridge into the Hudson River, New York State Police report. New York State Police responded to the tragic incident on Saturday, Dec. 28, after receiving reports of an individual jumping off the Bear Mountain Bridge. Troopers from the Haverstraw barracks arrived at the scene at approximately 11:12 a.m., said Trooper Jennifer Alvarez.  They discovered that the man had parked his vehicle on the eastbound side of the bridge before jumping. Body Of 19-Year-Old Swimmer Pulled From Hudson River The body of a missing teenage swimmer has been located in the Hudson River, state police announced late Monday afternoon, June 6. At approximately 6 a.m. Monday, troopers were notified about the missing 19-year-old near Haverstraw Beach State Park in Rockland County.  New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team along with local fire departments searched the water. State Police Recover Two Drowning Victims In Separate Incidents In Region State Police responded to two separate drownings over the weekend in the region. Both bodies were recovered in Sullivan County. The first incident took place around 10:35 p.m., Saturday, June 26, when state police responded to State Route 97 in the town of Highland for a possible drowning on the Delaware River, said Trooper Steven Nevel.  The initial investigation indicates that Louis Pellot, age 31 of Brooklyn, entered the water from a campsite and became fatigued and was seen struggling in the water.  He went under the water and was not seen.
