Record Travel Expected This Thanksgiving: Here Are Best, Worst Times To Hit Road
Expect plenty of company on the roads as you head to grandma’s house. A record 79.9 million travelers are expected to head 50 miles or more from home over the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, AAA forecasts. That’s up 1.7 million over last year. Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Identified
This story has been updated. A Valhalla teen has been identified as the young man struck and killed by a Metro-North train in Valhalla just north of Commerce Street, according to the MTA. Aaron Dannenbring, 19, was on the tracks around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by the northbound train, said MTA Spokeswoman Nancy Gamerman. The incident was not an accident, and no criminality was involved, she added. There were about 200 passengers on the train at the time, no one was injured.
