A White Plains man found himself in a high-speed chase on I-95 during the Fourth of July holiday before ultimately crashing into a guardrail while attempting to evade apprehension, police said. A trio from Connecticut was busted with crack-cocaine hidden in several places by New York State Police troopers during a stop in Dutchess County. A sheriff’s deputy apprehended a man in possession of semiautomatic weapons after he allegedly attempted to resist arrest following a traffic stop on I-84 in Putnam County. A woman who took New York troopers on a slow-speed chase for a short distance said she didn't stop because she thought they were driving an ambulance.
