Kathy Hochul has announced a statewide surge in law enforcement patrols and safety measures to protect travelers during Thanksgiving week, one of the busiest and riskiest times for road travel. Petition Calls For Renaming Of Westchester Community College Entrance After Former President
A retired professor is leading an effort to rename the entrance of Westchester Community College after the institution's beloved former president in honor of his extensive work for the school. Following a proposal from retired professor Sheldon Malev, a petition spearheaded by the office of Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner calls for renaming the college's entrance on Knollwood Road to its Valhalla campus after former President Joseph Hankin. $119M Project To Reconstruct Section Of Major Deegan Expressway Starts
A $119 million project to reconstruct a stretch of the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx has kicked off. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that construction has begun on the project in both directions of the expressway between West 161st Street and the Alexander Hamilton Bridge. More cashless tolls are coming to the lower Hudson Valley. Officials in New York announced on Tuesday that cashless tolling will begin on the Thruway Authority's remaining fixed toll barriers in the lower Hudson Valley by the end of the year, in an effort to improve traffic flow and limit gridlock throughout the state.
