Pelham Memorial High School senior Kate Douglass, a member of the Chelsea Piers Aquatic Club, was one of 35 women chosen to join the national team, which is scheduled to compete at the National Championships in Irvine, California next month. New Rochelle High School senior Michael Lawson, who became a two-time state champion this year, announced his intention to head to Hawaii following graduation, where he will take to the pool at the University of Hawaii. Rye Swimmers Win Westchester/Fairfield League Title, Place At States The Rye Y Wave Ryeders capped off a winning season on March 18, placing 4th overall out of 40 swim teams at the YMCA State Championships in Buffalo.  The Rye team racked up its highest point total ever at the State meet and brought home several individual and team awards.
