Man Steals Over $50K Of Jewelry From Westchester Store, Pawns It: Police A 28-year-old man faces numerous charges after smashing the window of a jewelry store, taking more than $50,000 worth of merchandise, and pawning much of it in Westchester, police said.  The arrest stemmed from an incident on Wednesday, July 19, when Yorktown Police were sent to Yorktown Jewelers at 322 Kear St. around 3 a.m. when a burglary was reported.  According to the department, officers arrived at the store and found a smashed window in addition to other signs of a burglary, including several smashed display cases. White Plains Man Charged After Reportedly 'Playing With Knife' At Panera A Westchester man is facing a weapons charge after being busted playing with an illegal knife at a Panera Bread in Yorktown over the weekend. Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Panera Bread at the Triangle Shopping Center shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, where there were reports of a person playing with a knife.
