Comedian Kevin Hart Set To Perform 2 Shows In NY
Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is set to perform two stand-up comedy shows in New York in the coming weeks. The 44-year-old “Jumanji” star will first take the stage on Long Island, performing at Westbury’s NYCB Theatre on Sunday, Dec. 10. After that, it’s up to Albany for a performance at the Palace Theatre on Tuesday, Jan. 9. Both shows are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and promise to feature all-new material, according to a Palace Theatre Facebook post. New-Works Theater Company Debuts In Stamford
The New Play Forum is a new-works theater company launching at the Stamford Center for the Arts in downtown Stamford. It kicks off with a "friend- and fun-raiser" on Monday, April 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Center’s UpStage lobby theater at the Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic St. The Celebration for the launch of the New Play Forum will feature entertainment by Broadway performers, including Guy Fortt and Frank Mastrone, and others, as well as food and wine from local providers. Rye Neck Senior Wins Playwriting Award For 'Nervous'
Rye Neck High School senior Kristina Dignelli, a talented actor and writer, won second place in the Palace Theatre’s 2018 Ernie DiMattia Emerging Young Artist Scholarship Award for her original play “Nervous.” “Kristina really exemplifies the finest of our Rye Neck theater program,” said theater director Scott Harris, who encouraged Dignelli along with the rest of his Advanced Acting class students to enter the playwriting competition. “I am just so proud of her.
