Midweek Storm Will Bring Accumulating Snow, Wintry Mix To The Area A quick-moving storm system has brought more freezing rain and sleet than snow in the area on Presidents Day morning. With temperatures hovering around freezing, motorists are urged to use caution until the Winter Weather Advisory expires at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18. There is a chance of rain late in the morning through the afternoon on a cloudy day in which the high temperature will be around 40 degrees on Monday, with the wind-chill factor between 25 and 35 degrees. Weekday Lane Closures Scheduled To Start On Saw Mill River Parkway Motorists are advised that weekday single- and double-lane closures are scheduled for the Saw Mill Parkway while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting. The closures begin Monday, July 30 and last until Friday, Aug. 10 on the Saw Mill River Parkway between the New York City Line and Exit 4 (Cross County Parkway),  Lane closures are expected on the northbound side of the parkway from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lane closures are expected on the southbound side from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes where possible.
