Road Closed After Truck Overturns In Westchester A busy Westchester roadway was forced to close after a tractor-trailer overturned and spilled debris in the roadway. On Monday, Oct. 18, first responders from the Yonkers Police and Fire departments responded to a stretch of Yonkers Avenue, where a truck overturned when the driver failed to negotiate a turn. The overturned truck led to the closure of Yonkers Avenue between the Saw Mill River Parkway and Midland Avenue as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Cabbie Robbed By Four Masked Men In Westchester, Police Say Yonkers police are on the hunt for four suspects involved in an armed robbery of a cab driver. The incident took place around 7:52 p.m. Wednesday near 510 Midland Avenue, said Yonkers Police Det. Sgt. Dean Politopoulos. According to police, four men wearing ski masks used a gun to rob the cab driver and then fled. Police said they don't have much information and that the incident is under investigation.

Lanes Closed On Central Park Avenue In Yonkers Due To Crash, Police Say A stretch of Central Park Avenue is closed in Yonkers as police investigate a crash in the area. The Yonkers Police Department issued an alert at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 warning that southbound Central Park Avenue at Midland Avenue has been reduced to one lane and the westbound entrance to the Cross County Parkway is closed. Police said that the lane closures are due to a motor vehicle crash and police activity at the scene. The investigation at the scene is expected to last several hours and commuters have been advised to plan alternate routes in the area, police noted.
