Suspect Charged, Victim ID'd In Murder Of Woman In Westchester
A suspect is in custody following the murder of a 66-year-old woman who was found dead early Friday in the driveway of the former Armory building on Main Street in New Rochelle. Members of the New Rochelle Police Department arrested the suspect at 4:47 a.m. Saturday, and charged him with murder. Jose Olmos, a 28-year-old homeless Hispanic male, was charged with second-degree murder, New Rochelle Police Capt. Robert Gazzola said. New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson threw a curveball during his annual “State of the City” address, announcing that City Hall would be moving from its longtime home on North Avenue back to a new downtown address.
