Here's When New Yorkers Must Meet Real ID Deadline Time is winding down for New Yorkers to get their federally compliant REAL ID or Enhanced ID/driver's license ahead of a crucial deadline. Starting Wednesday, May 7, 2025, standard driver’s licenses or non-driver IDs will no longer be accepted for boarding domestic flights or entering certain federal facilities.  To comply with new federal regulations, residents must obtain a REAL ID or Enhanced ID, both of which are available at the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices. Gilgo Beach Murders: Reward Offered As New Details Released About 'Asian Doe' Victim Authorities are hoping new details about a male victim in the Gilgo Beach serial murders case – and a cash reward – will lead to his identification. On Long Island, the Gilgo Beach Task Force released details about clothing that was worn by the so-called “Asian Doe,” whose skeletal remains were found along Ocean Parkway in Gilgo Beach on April 4, 2011. The man, who investigators revealed was beaten to death sometime prior to 2006, was found wearing all women’s clothing. Updated Photo: Police Call For Help IDing Woman Found Dead In Hudson Valley State Police renewed their call on Thursday asking for the public's help in identifying a woman whose body was found in Wappinger Creek tributary stream. Police have also released a new photo of a button that was on the woman's sweater in hopes that someone will recognize it, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks. The body was found partially submerged in the stream, accessible from Maloney Road in the town of Wappinger near the Lagrange town line, on Tuesday, said Hicks.
